Over on the Mother Board, P&B has posted a little about his concerns over whether the dancing will be too sexual. He fears they may be.

I'd say his concern is well-placed, if other seasons are a guide. Still, Shawn Johnson managed to keep it clean in 2009 and won the season. What would an Evangelical Christian think is going too far in a show such as this one?

Well since I'm still scratching my head on all this religious stuff I don't have a clue but sometimes I think maybe P&B is overly stringent in his beliefs or maybe it is his personal thinking. Ballroom dancing is sensual but Donald Driver's wife was okay with it so I hope Catherine will be the same.

Wasn't Sean reared in the Baptist Church (I realize that's not what he attends now). It used to be, and maybe still is, that dancing was forbidden to Baptists.

Isn't his grandfather a Baptist minister or preacher (not sure what they are called being brought up where they were only priests)? Doesn't it depend on whether they are Southern Baptist or the other Baptist which are not as strict? Heck WW I don't even know what I am mumbling about so hopefully someone who knows what they are talking about will answer your question! I'm still scratching my head over all this evangelical stuff!

I think you're right about his grandfather, SLA, and it may be the case that his father is also a Baptist minister. And I think you're right that Southern Baptists are stricter than American Baptists, but I don't know the details.
