He said that Kaitlyn had told him that she loved him many times. That was a mistake, it misled him.

We come down, once again, to semantics. "Love" vs. "In Love." How many times have we heard that on this franchise??

He doesn't seem to have much luck where relationships are concerned. I don't really fault Kaitlyn for saying she loved him as she said she basically told a few guys that as well. They are living a hyped up existence in that house for so long and many past contestants have stated that it makes you do crazy things.
It's not ideal that leads say these things to contestants but I think in Nick's case that he wants to be loved and be in a relationship so bad that he grasped at everything she did and said. That's why he had so much confidence in them. Also the fact that no matter what, he said that he doesn't think anyone had a better connection with Kaitlyn then he did. He did the same on Andi's season. He seems to be over-confident in himself which has turned people off.

l think Nick forgets that he is on a reality show and that he is not irresistible to anyone but himself.
On a semi-relevant note, did you notice that Shawn thanked the limo driver and Nick ignored him?
Also, I did not watch this season initially, after I found out that Nick would be allowed to join. I did see the final and I have gone back and watched a few of the earlier shows.
One thing to note--I read on the other board that some of you think Shawn is not attractive. He certainly wasn't the handsomest there (both Bens and Jared would take that for me), but I think everyone here knows perspectives are different in person. When I watched the first show I noticed that BOTH Kaitlyn and Britt had a stronger positive reaction to Shawn above all others.

What did you think of the ending? As I mentioned in another post here, I didn't watch when I saw the promo with Nick, but I did watch the finale and went back to see a few early episodes.

Oh, hell, I don't know, Wert. The whole thing is so contrived it doesn't matter to me in the least because I don't believe anything that happens on that show is real. Maybe they're enamored of each other, maybe they aren't.
I'm always curious to see how many people on the boards hope the final couple will make it. Why would any of us care? The entire thing was manufactured in the scheming brains of the producers. Reality TV has nothing to do with reality.
