Piano competition failure2 Empty Piano competition failure2

This is the 1986 Tchaikovsky Competition where a pianist tries unsuccessfully to start a Chopin etude as the judges basically let him know his time is up. I feel sorry for the poor guy.

I guess he got one chance to begin again and then was out. I also watched the blonde boy in the gray jacket and the fAO Schwarz "Big" piano playing - those guys are good and get quite a workout!
