Maxie

Post by 431902j on Wed Feb 21, 2018 6:52 pm

Kirsten is off the charts on this performance.  Maxie is still in shock, still grieving and still pregnant.
She is being so real. Everyone grieves differently, and she looks so dead inside. Her world has collapsed.

Well meaning friends can't really know what she's experiencing. She needs real support, not other people
discussing their experiences. (Sam had Silas and then Patrick to 'comfort' her during those 5 years, and
now Jason and Drew)

It is so wrong for "Peter" to let Maxie lean on him. When the truth comes out (and it will), she will be
devastated again.  Maxie has dealt with the death of Georgie and with the abandonment of Frisco and
sometimes Felicia, and she had her newborn daughter taken from her and given to Spinelli and his girlfriend
who moved to the west coast. She didn't get Georgie back even tho she was married to a policeman.
And now she has watched her husband die.

How much more can this girl take???

Kirsten Storms is an exceptionally good actress. Applause, applause, applause

I agree KS is doing a wonderful job, even her angry comes across as real. I had to laugh yesterday when she said to Sam you really are clueless and Sam's face was priceless.

I kept wishing Sam would have pointed out to Maxie that one day she will want to tell her child about its father, and having some of his things around, i.e. some some photos and momentos,  would help the child know Nathan.   I know Maxie was in deep grief, but she might have responded to keeping some things for her child... at least putting some away in case.   I liked it when Sam slipped out with a box...

yes Freda i agree with you!  I will add that I can not understand her attitude at all, and baffled and here's why? (before everyone jumps down my throat)  It's almost as if she's  "wiping out " any and all existence of him!!! Yes, I can understand her extreme grief, even her being terrified of facing the future and raising this baby, without him!  But getting rid of everything, for pete's sake, even Dante saved Nathan's mug!  You mean to tell me you'd give away "EVERYTHING" - the pictures, and things you'll never get back??  Instead of just packing them away, put them in storage, and if you don't want them even in the apt. give to Mac and your mom for safekeeping.
no, there are so many things I just wouldn't part with, if I were in her shoes and lost my husband.  But then again, Maxie, has always been off the top, she's irrational, and doesn't think things through!  She definitely will someday want to show this child some of her Dad's things as she tells the child about him!   I'm glad Sam did this, that's fast thinking on her part. Sam is my girl...
And by the way, maybe I'm wrong, but didn't she give Nathan's Police Department Shirt - for shelter pick-up?  Isn't there a law somewhere, whereby, someone could wear it and impersonate an officer?  I know in an instance of someone who wouldn't let their shirts, sweaters, etc. with the "patches" on them from their job, given to these places, because it was against the policy of that company.  I would definitely presume that to be true of the Police Dept, as well as this State job.

Yes this is why Spenilli needs to come to help her and not have Peter help her because nothing good can come of this
