Did Rachel just tell Dean that she is falling in love with him too?

If so, he's the 1st one she said it to that I can remember and that surprises me.

Well damn, she did. Then sent him home. 

Still don't see a connection with Eric.

Dean was very confused by it too.

When she told Dean that she wasn't sure that he was ready for the same things she was, I wondered if she knew that before the HTD.  It seemed kind of obvious to me that he had some emotional issues to deal with and he is younger than she is.  Maybe the producers wanted her to keep him around because his HTD would be interesting for the show.

I really wonder why these people go on the show knowing that at some time their family could be involved, and in Dean's case seemed very painful for him.

I had a feeling it might be Dean since he was the one who I saw on BIP.  Hopefully, he finds somebody there.

I don't think age is as much as an issue as it used to be.  People have all different maturity levels at different ages.  A lot more older women are going out with younger men than they used to with a bigger age difference than Dean and Rachel.  I think older women are going out with younger men for different reasons.  Maybe partly because they have less baggage.  Some people are very mature at a young age and some older people are just younger souls than people their own age.

Dean most likely didn't care about exposing his family or else he probably wouldn't have done it.  I think Dean was more hurt by his dad than anything else.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the producers did it for that reason and I felt so sorry for him with what he went through.

To say that his family is dysfunctional is an understatement. I would be scared off too! I liked him alot, but I think it's very hard to get past that family. On another note I think BIP is a very slutty show & I don't think he will fit in there as he seems to be very nice & genuine. Maybe too sweet for that show. I think that he is reall looking for true love. JMO...

Well, they live in Aspen, so they must be doing something right.  I think some good people are on BIP.  Jade and Tanner met on there and I think they're a good couple.  I don't think everybody is slutty on the show.  I think if everybody were well behaved, it might get boring.

I can't imagine they would pass up a chance to exploit someone.

Agreed.  Even if the family didn't scare you off, Dean needs to get past his issues of being abandoned.  I noticed when his father argued with him, then Dean just clammed up and agreed with him.  He did the same thing with Rachel when she told him good luck.  That's not a healthy way to deal with emotions.
