Adam Rippon should be competitive and entertaining. Tonya Harding probably won't last long. Of course no one will last long, it's only 4 weeks, lol! Being Canadian I'm not really up on American athletes. I am familiar with the most famous from hearing about them in the media. I do follow figure skating so skaters I know.

Hey Psychee, you are not alone. No social media accounts for me as well. I grew up without fb, so what the ... would I need it for now? Let the kids consider us old-school. Not far from now they will call us wise. It's just a matter of patience.

Having Tonya Harding on the show after Nancy Kerrigan is a travesty and utterly distasteful. JMO.

Another wise old schooler here. Never had the desire to use any of the social media platforms and am glad I didn't.

Based on the costumes, it looks like Emma has the baseball player, Lindsay the basketball player, and Sharna the football player. That means either Jenna or Witney has Adam Rippon.

So Jenna did get Adam Rippon! They should be an interesting and competitive pair. Sharna has another football player I see. This season is so short that it won't be possible to take my time choosing a favourite. I'm sure I'll pick a couple but it won't be a long term thing! Still very little chatter about this season on social media.

Perhaps when the kid season fell through this was a quick and last minute idea. I will watch but without much anticipation. I will be waiting for season 27 in the fall when we will get the full treatment.

I read that the couples will be doing two dances each week and there will be two eliminations each week.This season is going to just whip by.

I don't know any of the "stars" so not really invested it the show that way.I do hope to see some great dancing though.I will be cheering on the pro dancers and the line-up there is really good !!!

Since they're making us wait until fall for the regular show, hopefully they will have more interesting celebrities by then. I kind of think the break is good and then you look forward to it more. If you don't care about the celebrities, then I guess it doesn't matter.

I guess it does not matter a whole lot who the "stars" are,but that is just me.I am sure if you are into movies and television shows it is a big treat to see them do the show.

At times there are "stars" that you really like and that are entertaining so that is a bonus.

We should get some excellent dancing with two figure skaters on. Skaters all take dance training and generally are great on DWTS. And these two, Adam and Mirai are still actively competing so will be in tip top shape.

It's remarkable that everybody is talking about the two active skaters; ignoring the third one. Could it be that's one more reason Tonya Harding doesn't fit in? Seems she's the only retired athlete among the entire cast. Looking at the picture abc released, all I could think was poor Sasha got the train wreck. Everyone else seems to be in shape.
Glad to see Jenna return. Sharna got a good one too, it seems.

There is talk of Tonya Harding on sm brother, very little of it good. But DWTS likes to cast controversial people, they always have. I wonder why she would do it. Seems like it won't be fun. I would think it's been a good few years since she did any serious skating so Sasha has a mountain to climb.

Well, it's only 4 weeks, so it can't be too bad for Sasha. It won't be like a regular season. Sasha is a character anyway and laid back.

He is 7 feet 2 inches tall and she is 5 feet 6 inches tall.

She did not retire. She was banned permanently from the sport by the USFSA from ever competing again or coaching.

Was kind of looking forward to an all athlete show, but when they announced this loser was going to be on the show, lost all interest in watching. DWTS really sank to a whole new low with that choice. Will be interesting to see how the others skaters take to her, since she is not well received in the profession and by other skaters.

You're not going to watch because of one person? I didn't like Nene Leakes on the show, though I know she's not Tonya, but unlikable anyway, but I watched anyway. You shouldn't let one person ruin it for you. She probably will be voted off quickly.
