CBS announced today the 18 castaways who will compete against each other on SURVIVOR, when the Emmy Award-winning series returns for its 32nd season with a special 90-minute premiere, Wednesday, Feb. 17 (8:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

So, first episode under our belt. I worried that last season would be a hard act to follow and I was right. I can't find anyone to like and pull for yet; they all seem lacking. That will change, I imagine as the show moves forward. I thought Tai might be a good one but he went off the rails quickly, running around rooting up trees looking for an II. Not being discreet about it either so his whole tribe knows precisely what he was up to and are targeting him for elimination already.

Who was it took a dump in the ocean? How truly ignorant and rude.

I agree with you, Tai totally off the rails. Also didn't like the guy crapped in the water - like really? Glad he was sent packing, he turned out to be a big lump of dead weight.

Top picks - Caleb and the ER Doc. I dislike the ER doctor's personality, but I think he has the goods to take him far in the game.

I think it's too early for me to pick a favorite, but I did like Caleb on Big Brother...or Beast Mode Cowboy which is what he was referred to. Lol

Cydney seems like she is going to be a bit of a bitch.

Looks like this might be another season of blindsides. It makes it interesting when it isn't so predictable.

Kyle is a jerk and I'd like to see him go home soon. It was irritating to see him and Scot talk bad about Alicia and then take a nap while she kept at starting the fire they needed to eat and boil water. Then after she started it he had to actually prompt everyone else in the tribe to say thank you and give her any credit. How rude can you be? Then Jennifer tries to throw her under the bus for something she did. And Cydney could have just told the truth as to who started that conversation about an all girl alliance and ended it right there. Everyone on that tribe is so mean to Alicia and I hope that somehow against all odds she ends up outlasting those losers.

I'm hoping that Caleb doesn't ultimately suffer the same fate as Joe did. Getting used until they decide to gang up and get rid of him because he is a big threat.

Better show last night, it held my interest. Poetic justice that Jenny got the heave ho, she had it coming. It would be kind of fun to watch Alicia outlast her tribe mates who are delighting in trashing her.

With Brawn down to only 4 there will likely be a tribe re-alignment sooner rather than later.

I don't have a whole lot to say about the Beauty Tribe. I think it has been Caleb that has pretty much got them to where they are so far as not being beat in a challenge yet. He is my favorite so far. He has played a very social game and he is strong and good at pretty much everything. That is why I think he will end up like Joe and get voted out eventual because he is such a huge threat.

I have a hard time watching what has been going on with the Brawn Tribe. Kyle has got to go! He is so irritating on so many levels. He has got Scot in his back pocket and I don't get the impression that Kyle would be loyal to anyone. I can't stand how Cydney is acting either. Does she really think that these guys would keep her safe when the merge takes place? They seem very self serving....especially Kyle. How that whole scene played out with the idol was disgusting to watch. Alecia had it but unfortunately she trusted Cydney. How Kyle came in and basically stole it from Alecia with Cydney's help just shows what a low life he is....and her. Playing the game is one thing but being a real ass about it is something else entirely. The three stooges talk about Alecia not being an asset or worth anything at challenges but that is also because they don't give her a chance. During that last part of the immunity challenge it was Cydney that dropped the ball twice getting them behind before she let one of the guys take over. And then instead of letting Alecia take a shot at it on the third ball they gave it back to Cydney! I would laugh if the three of them went home before Alecia.

That was a great blindside sending Liz home from the Brains Tribe. The cockiness of Peter in talking about him and Liz being better looking and smarter then the others was enough to turn me off. Oh well, they say pride cometh before a fall so I'm hoping Peter will go too. I don't see him lasting too long once the merge takes place because if he doesn't start playing more of a social game he will be toast.

I agree with you, rkc. Those Brawnies are mostly a bust to me. I don't mind Alecia but the others can hit the road home any old time.

Caleb probably isn't a long term prospect; he will be perceived as too much of a threat and will go. I couldn't stand him on BB, he was SO cocky but he is exhibiting a completely different side to his personality on Survivor and I enjoy him.

You brought up a good point, Lesallee. I liked him pretty much on Big Brother. He flexed his muscles a lot and I wasn't into his uber crush on that one girl that didn't like him at all. I guess the dynamic on Big Brother is so much different than Survivor. I guess the way you should play is so different in both games. In Big Brother you do the challenges for yourself and your advancement in the game. At this stage of Survivor you have to play as a team. We'll see how he is if and when he gets to the point where they all play for themselves. But I agree, I like him so much better on Survivor.

I can't help but envision Frankie sitting back and watching his friend Caleb on Survivor, pink hair and all, clapping and jumping around like he always did. He was just too silly to watch. Lol

I'm loving this season and it's only 3 episodes in. It's holding my attention and I look forward to each week. My faves are Caleb and Tai. I like the cast of characters a lot. After over 30 seasons it's hard to keep it fresh but they know what they are doing. The producers manage to do something different to change things up and that's important to hold our attention. The super idol is brilliant IMO. It's going to be a great season!

My gosh, what a gruelling challenge last night. Three people brought to their knees. Sadly Caleb is gone but his condition was scary. Glad to hear he has recovered completely.

It is good there will be a realignment next show. Hopefully when those ultra obnoxious Brawn tribe members are slotted into new tribes they will swiftly get the boot.

Well, that sucks! I was rooting for Caleb. It's amazing that he is so physically fit yet he was the one out of the three to not be able to recover. It was kind of scary to watch. I saw an article with Jeff Probst today saying that he has never had such a scary moment in all of his years of doing the show. Maybe the producers in the future need to rethink doing such strenuous challenges in such grueling heat. I'm hoping they have Caleb come back in a future season.

I'm thinking that the Brawn tribe may have thrown the immunity challenge just so they can get rid of Alecia. I was hoping she would make it to the merge so she could be with another tribe that would maybe give her a chance. I definitely don't want Kyle, Cydney, or Scot to make it to the end. Those three are mean and conniving. As much as Kyle fawned over Cydney when she went down, I don't see him doing that for Alecia if it had been her.

Hopefully with a merge coming in next weeks episode I am wanting those three to get on a tribe where people will see them for what they are and get rid of them fast.

I'm thinking the issue on the Brawn tribe was a little bit of both sides. Alicia started to bother me towards the end. I do think casting her on that tribe was a stupid idea, though.

I never watched BB so Caleb didn't bother me. I was sorry to see him leave. His relationship with Tai seemed very real.

Okay, so why wasn't ER doc trying to do anything during the emergencies? He wasn't even the one who wanted to call over medics for Debbie. I know he probably had an issue with the heat also but I would have thought he would have done something to help, even if it was just pouring water on someone or fanning them.

This episode was upsetting to me. I love Caleb and was surprised and sad to see him go. I did not expect it to be him in the previews to have to be evacuated. Honestly, I thought it was going to be Tai because he is very thin and they showed him looking not so good in the previews. When things started to look really bad for Caleb I just couldn't believe it. I thought he was going to win the show! I love him and Tai and their relationship. I think they both have a sweet friendship. Did anyone else get emotional watching? I found it hard to watch. I was also angry with the producers and felt they went too far. I think they need to take into account how hot it is that day and plan the challenge accordingly. To have three go down says something, doesn't it? I know they didn't plan for that to happen but it was upsetting to watch and I think they need to think twice next time so this doesn't happen again.

Not sure about the doctor - I thought he was very calm and attentive. I think either Jeff or one of the cast members has to ask him to come over maybe? I don't know. I admired his calmness as I don't think I would be so calm.

I watched this part back again and I can see how upset Jeff is. He looks like he has tears in his eyes. I also read the entertainment weekly or wherever the article appeared and read how Jeff was very upset while this was all going on. You can see the emotions on everyone.

A very sad and emotional episode for me to watch.

They have a doctor on call and he was great. I meant the ER doctor that is on the Brains tribe. I was surprised he didn't get involved in helping, unless he was also in bad shape.

I'm thinking that after this happened, they probably had to scramble and rethink some of the coming challenges. Reality TV is all about ratings but I believe that they didn't expect this and will do something to prevent it. You could see all the contestants drinking bottled water so maybe even just supplying a steady supply of drinkable water would help.

Aha, Tai has revealed himself as a rather devious little customer! He garnered a lot of significant looks from the people he had spun his II tale to at last night's TC. He may well have made a big blunder because I think he painted a target on his little back. Because he does have that II it will take a couple of TC's to oust him but I believe it will happen.

I missed most of the show last night and didn't see how the tribe changes took place. I was wondering why Tai didn't have any votes against him last but I only saw the voting at TC.

Tai revealed that he has an II and even showed it to several of his tribe mates. He vowed to use it to get Peter out then reneged at TC. Hence the side eye directed at him by several people. I think he may be playing it too cute and it will all come back to bite him in the butt.

They kind of made it clear that one of the Beauty Tribe members would be going so it was either Tai or Anna. Scot thought Tai was such an asset and I think some of the others did as well. I think that if Tai thought it would keep him safe that he would do whatever Scot directed him to do. Scot knew it would be Anna and that's why he kept encouraging Tai not to use his idol and use it later to also benefit him. I think that with this new twist this season that if anyone else finds an idol that they may just pair up with Tai to get rid of others they want to get rid of.

I guess the right one got the boot last night. Peter was about as popular as a rash with his tribe mates. I sort of like Julia, the little I've seen of her, and I would like to get to know her better.

At first I thought Debbie was so wacko that she should be gone but I've changed my mind. Oh, I still think she's wacko but she's such an egomaniac that she is vastly entertaining. When she announced she had been a model I could only laugh.

I'm glad Peter finally got the boot too. He was just an arrogant person all the way around. The way Joe confronted him was kind of funny. Joe kept saying he only wanted a yes or no and the fact that Peter couldn't do that gave himself away big time. And that idea of his for stacking the blocks at the immunity challenge was not very smart for a supposed brainiac surgeon. Let's hope he doesn't take stupid shortcuts during his surgeries. Lol

I also agree with you that Debbie is so weird. When she said she had been a model I about choked on my snack!

I really don't have a favorite since Caleb left but I'm good I guess as long as Kyle, Scot or Cydney don't win. They pissed me off when on the brawn tribe and I don't want to see any of them win this.

If I had to choose anyone at this point it would probably be Tai just because he kind of makes me laugh...especially when I see him standing next to Scot!

Just saw that CBS announced Survivor has been renewed for 2016-2017. Also TAR. I am glad, after all these years I still enjoy these shows.
