ON ABC’S ‘BACHELOR IN PARADISE’

“Episode 306A” – In the gorgeous resort town of Sayulita, Mexico, the drama continues for the hopeful contestants in the two-night season finale of the highly anticipated “Bachelor in Paradise,” MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 5 (8:00–10:01 p.m. EDT).

A new arrival renowned for her poultry enthusiasm lands in Paradise and is quickly disappointed to learn that all the men are already paired up, leaving her no one to take on a date. One opportunistic bachelor capitalizes on a new arrival’s lack of options and negotiates the date card for him and his love interest. Will he be able to let his walls down on the date and open his heart to the Floridian beauty? When a cold conversation with a disinterested bachelor leaves a fickle woman heartbroken, she decides to exit Paradise in hopes of winning back the man she spurned earlier in the season. At the cocktail party, the tension builds for one overwhelmed radio DJ when he has to make a decision between the three women looking to him for their rose. The pressure proves too much for one of the ladies, as she makes the dramatic decision to leave Paradise before the rose ceremony. Ready to move into the final week in Paradise, five confident bachelors hand out their roses but one handsome hairdresser shocks everyone when he sends himself home, leaving three women without roses. A struggling suitor decides to end things with his emotional bachelorette when he realizes that their relationship isn’t as progressed as the others. Devastated, she leaves Paradise again without the man of her dreams. The happy couples head out on their final dates where they have some fun in the sun. But, will doubts arise as the couples face what the future holds for their relationships? Who will leave Paradise in love, and who will leave Paradise in tears?

Really looking forward to Greasy Nick banging Jen in the Fantasy Suite then dumping her for Fame & Fortune. He will be a worse Bachelor than that pig Bob Guiney. Remember that first time Nick was on Andi and his dependence on his Mom's advice about relationships?#? She created a Narcissist.

My ABC station is pre-empting BIP for a Louisiana Relief concert. I don't mind; it's a good cause and a good show. I'll just have to record BIP at 1 am tomorrow morning and watch sometime Tuesday before Tuesday's finale. I'll have to try to stay off the boards in the meantime so I don't get any spoilers! (although I'm super excited about Nick being the Bachelor, that was one surprise spoiled for BIP. I thought he and Jenn made a good pair although they weren't shown too much.)

You know what Sis, I agree with you. So many people like to ridicule Carly and Evan but they have been the most entertaining and fun couple on this rendition of BIP. Mainly because they seem real in a show where everything is so contrived.

Still like my boy Wells, another man who comes across as real. No putting on airs and a killer smile.

I wish Lace would not wear those stupid false lashes. They look horrid and so disproportional. They are almost as bad as Juelia's were. Ugh. These women are gorgeous without all the bondo.

I am SO GLAD Vinny didn't entertain taking Izzy back. She all of a sudden realized how stupid she was after lamp guy dumped her? HAHA. Funny that lamp guy didn't seem to have a light on in his brain. He is pretty spacey, but glad he also didn't give out a rose just to stay.

I think GRACE won't last as long as the tattoo. I do think Evan/Carly will make it and also Amanda/Josh.

How do we know Jen doesn't drop Nick? Nick is the one crying. I remember when everyone hated Andi. Yeah, it's Andi's fault. People sure see what they want and believe what they want to explain things they don't like happening.

Jen's need for the constant reassurance leads me to believe that she drops him at the end, because he can't say he wants a long future. She is kind of a basket case. It's these things that make you realize why such attractive people are still single.

Nick was right to be a bit cautious. He said several times they have only known each other a short time and given his past he wanted to take things a bit slower. Perfectly resonable I think.

Can't see Lace and Grant lasting; he is far more invested in the relationship than she is. I also have my doubts about Amanda and Josh being a long term proposition. To me Carly and Evan have the best chance at success.

I was kind of unsure why Wells left. Is it because of the fantasy suite? They could have just talked there. I think they get together later anyway according to what Ashley was saying on After Paradise.

I think it was the prospect of being the one who took Ashley's virginity that gave Wells trouble. Even if they only "talked" in the FS many wouldn't believe it. Wells said he was attracted to and enjoyed Ashley's company but it was way to soon to be thrust into a so called FS situation. And Ashley was certainly implying that she just may be willing to make Wells THE ONE.

Just as an aside, I read recently (on RS, who else?)that Ashley and Jared went on a vacation with Jade and Tanner. Barbados, Bermuda, Bahamas, one of those tropical island B places. So Ashley is still pursuing her obsession with Jared quite enthusiastically. I wonder if he will ever simply surrender and say, "Okay, you've got me".

I too think that Evan and Carly have the best chance at a long term relationship after paradise. Not sure what that whole thing was about where Carly was really putting him down. Was it so we weren't expecting a love story out of this?

Since Izzy did what she did to Vinnie I'm kind of glad that she got dumped. Seems she was still all in with Lamp Guy until he told her he wasn't interested. If she called Vinnie when she was leaving and he told her no, I'm kind of surprised a few weeks ago when they had them both on After Paradise that it was brought up a second time if he would take her back. Good man for going with his gut.

Not sure on the long term with Josh and Amanda. They might be together now but if any of that was true that Andi put in her book then I don't see it lasting. All that noise he makes when he kisses her can't all be thrown in to make fun. Some of that has got to be real and it would drive me nuts.

I don't see Grant and Lace lasting. And that whole tattoo thing was the most idiotic thing a new couple could do. You don't ever tattoo anyone's name on you that you are dating or even married to. Children, parents, and siblings are forever...but a guy in your life? Never a guarantee. I should know! Lol

I was surprised that Wells chose Ashley. Not that I thought the other girl was all that pretty but he at least seemed to have a lot in common with her. The Russian chick was weird. And that green dress, red lipstick and that awful hairdo made her look like an old woman. Glad she left. Anyway, don't know why Wells just walked away from the FS after choosing Ashley unless it was the things the guys were saying that turned him off. Deflowering a virgin is a big deal and especially with Ashley she would probably hound him for the rest of his life it that had happened!

It's basically Jared's fault that Ashley is still so intent on chasing him. So I guess things didn't pan out with Caila if he went on vacation with Ashley. He needs to either tell her to stop pursuing him or slow down and let her catch him. He needs to sh*t or get off the pot.

I noticed that on the After Paradise show last week that Jared really defended Ashley. He said there were quite a few other people on the show who felt that Caila wasn't right for him.

Yep, I haven't had a single chuckle out of this show since he left! I suspect we will see more of Daniel as I think TPTB are fully cognizant that he has evolved into a huge fan favourite.

And to think that the first few times with JoJo I kept wondering why she kept him. Guess he made her laugh too.

Just reading on eonline that Amanda and Josh have broken up "a couple of times" since the finale. Although they are reportedly still engaged it seems they are traversing a rocky road.

Not surprising, I didn't think it would be smooth sailing for these two.

There was conversation about this on several other boards I frequent. Several people mentioned that the first BIP was just a light hearted, fun in the sun with beautiful people and now it's devolved into an aggressive push for commitments and engagements. And for goodness sake, these people only know each other for three weeks.

I totally agree. How can you know somebody in such a short period of time, let alone get engaged. It should be more light hearted and they can continue their dating & getting to know each other when the show is over.
