It's one of the traditional rewards when a driver wins the Indianapolis 500.  Besides receiving the honor of having his/her face become a part of the distinctive Indy 500 trophy, you also get a bottle of milk (instead of champaign) when you drive your car into the Winner's Circle after the race.  You can do whatever you want with the milk--drink it, pour it on yourself or anyone else, etc.

Here is a look at James' win today.  Go to the 6:00 mark to see James drive into victory lane.  He is both so thrilled and composed at the same time, but earlier when he knew he won he was pumping his fist in the air and doing some celebratory rubber-burning spins as well.   Very Happy

How great that James and Terra became friends and that she and her husband came out to support him today.  Terra should be familiar with IndyCars since she got to see one up close during Season 23.

Season 23 Troupe member Dennis Jauch was also there to cheer on James!

From Sharna..

CONGRATULATIONS @hinchtown on your incredible win!! I know this is your first win since your accident and return to racing and I wish I could be there celebrating with you!! I am so very proud of you and feel that this win is the first of many to come. You will have #allthethings and hopefully #allthewins ☺️

The support of so many DWTS people is quite a tribute to James. Just as we fell in love with James, his character, his personality, his sense of humour so too did his fellow show members. This is special.

Meant to ask before: How the heck did you end up in St.Louis instead of LA? You are really on a tour!

It was for work, had a last minute change late Thursday night.  I had already mapped it out to the raceway, I was going to have to take the 405 part of the way from Manhattan Beach to Long Beach and I have never driven on it before.....it might have been a Shock experience!!.

Here is a cute moment from Sharna's Instagram when she sent James her best wishes before the Long Beach race and includes a clip of him from her visit with him to Sonoma last year.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BSrB43ujK73/

Off camera Sharna shouts "Paso Doble!" while James is talking to one of his crew.  Instantly James goes into Paso Doble mode.  I have a feeling it's ingrained in him from now on!   Very Happy

Thanks from me too, Lesallee.

My sister said to me that she was really surprised and appalled when Tom reminded the judges just before that perfect 40 scored dance, that the number to beat was 37.

That's saying okay judges, if you want your favorites to have immunity, you have to score them higher than this.

The manipulations continue as usual.
