Thanks for posting the video Grace - in this little sneak preview it did not show her answering Zak's sister's question as to whether Zak broke through the friend zone she just kind of giggled. It will be interesting to see how she answers this question since the previews after the HTD's don't show anymore of Zak so it looks like she eliminates him to me.

LadyJGray5 you will not be the only one to absent yourself completely if Jef is the next Bachelor.

I think alot of us will exit, stage left if Jef is the next Bach. It's time to let him and Emily go to where all ex Bach people go...into never, never land and by that I mean that we never have to hear about them again.....

I'm at the point right now where I am so disgusted with this show that I'm not sure I'll watch no matter who it is.

What are TPTB thinking? Jef? I hope not. However, there was a poll, I think on bachandbachettefans, and the majority thought Jef should be the next Bachelor. This is going to turn off a lot of people; I wonder if that will be the death knell for the franchise. And, if they've already made up their minds, why advertise for guys to be interviewed.

I refused to watch Emily's season because I never liked her. However, my eldest did. When she visited last summer, I put it on for her. It was the week of the HTDs. My impression of Jef was a guy who never grew up - a man/child. I would NOT be interested in watching a season of him.
How about a HUGE change and give us a guy we don't know? A completely fresh start. Or go further back to previous seasons and give us someone who's truly interesting?

I'd love to see Byron Velvick get another chance. Of course he is "older" now and possibly not appeal to the age demographic TPTB are trying to reach, but he came across as a really fine, upstanding gentleman, and easy on the eyes. I'm sure he would never do it even if he were asked. But one can dream............
Singly, I think TPTB have made it pretty clear they will recycle from the previous season whenever possible, no matter what we think. Just makes it easier for them.

I am sure all of us has a good side and the other side webjust go grrrrrrrr. If MF has one f Jef and the show gets the ax there is only one person that is to blame. I think people are so tired of people bring rude, self centered and can do anything they want and not held accountable for their actions. MF is rewarding these people. I can say he did not learn anything after Sean's season. If he makes the choice to have one f Jef they will be on their own because I will not wstch. I have nothing to put a finger on but to me he comes across as a spoiled brat.JMHO

With how the show has progressed, I doubt that any of the bachs from previous seasons a while back would be interested. It has gotten so much worse season after season. Jef is only interested in 18 year olds, skateboarding, hanging out on college campuses and clubs so I can't even imagine him being the next bach. Or maybe he has had an epiphany and now wants a spouse.

newto, I remember Byron's name but have no memory of watching the season.
gin & rein, I agree. Even if they were to dig out an interesting, upstanding guy, they would proceed to fill the room with dingbats, witches, border-line loonies and needful creatures. If they don't come up with some quality for the next season, I don't know that I'll continue with the show.
You know, they hauled in Sean, then Des, because America spoke and TPTB listened. Was there no message in the choice of the masses? They gave us wholesome leads, then threw in Tierra - followed by Ben and James. Yin and yang, huh?

That's very true his dad got most of the shots giving her a massage or whatever that is called that chiropractors do. Only Brook's and Drew's mothers got any footage of the four families.

"It's not going to go well for her, like before." Is this what a loving brother says in reference to meeting her potential husband? Sounds like the five-year-old brother who's still breaking the legs off her Barbie dolls.
OR could it be he suspects her choice just isn't that into her? TPTB LOVE to twist things and screw with our heads. We never saw all the guys crying as they showed in previews. How can they do this and still expect ANY credibility?

Good morning, singly -- I'm not sure TPTB care about credibility any more. I think they've gone "off the deep end" with this show and are going to get a big comeuppance when a lot of us stop watching. They did a good thing having Sean as the bachelor. They gave us a love story and now they have screwed it all up again.
As for Des' brother, I suspect he is there only for the drama. JMHO.

Singly the previews where they are all crying is not from this episode, I think it is from the following episode when they do the fantasy dates. They did not show anyone crying in the extended preview put up on TV Grapevine. So it is just the ones that ABC has shown at the end of the episodes that they are showing the crying and trying to tell people to stayed tuned.

Why do they feel that they think that by showing us a lot of crying we would even want to stay tuned......especially after THIS season when every episode is whining and crying....had enough.
As far as Sean's season, yes, they gave us a break and it was somewhat more refreshing, however, I never did see a love story there.

I agree rein they hid the love story in Sean's season because of the spoilers and I don't want to see a lot of fake crying either. TPTB seem to think that's what we want to see or it is what they want to produce and don't really care what we want to see. This season even though the spoilers are out there they don't seem to be hiding what the spoilers are saying IMO more like they are shoving it in our faces.

ITA, rein and SLA. I haven't seen a love story since Ashley and JP.
As for the crying: If memory serves, Michael was one of the crying guys? If so, it's not likely we'll EVER see this sequence.

Singly they have shown so many of the guys crying in the previews in recent weeks that some of those actual scenes are more than likely laying on the editing floor. I think of the final four the only one's I have not seen clips of crying are Chris and Zak - I might have missed something there but I don't remember them with a crying jag like with Brooks and Drew.

Re: Episode 8 - 7/15 - The Bachelorette 9 - Discussion
JMHO but I think Brooks and Drew have their emotions more on the surface than Chris or Zak. And TPTB are taking full advantage of that.

That's possible newto or maybe Chris and Zak refused to embarrass themselves that way - it's anybody's guess.
