I think that was a real wake up call for Sean. He better keep his shirt on next week because taking it off was not a good distraction IMO.

Re: Sixth Week Elimination -- SPOILER real spoiler
Right on SLA. He looked kind of shocked. I figured out what was wrong with his being shirtless. the waist band of the spandex pants was TOO tight. Therefore, his tummy bulged out, a little like the pillsbury dough boy. That's why I love drawstrings. They can expand after you eat--just loosen the string.SLA44 wrote:I think that was a real wake up call for Sean. I watched on live feed - I missed the beginning when Sean & Peta where told they were in jeopardy but the only thing that was important tonight was the outcome and I didn't miss that.

I have to agree. He is going to have a rough week Latin dances.I think he might except he just does not the ability to dance. He might prepare himself to going home next week. When he did his first dance I knew he would not last long. I can say he has lasted longer then I thought.

Re: Sixth Week Elimination -- SPOILER real spoiler
Sean needs a little WD40 injected into his spine. And Bruno is right. He dances like a lumberjack. Though there are probably better dancers in the field of lumberjacking.
The shirt came off, just like all the other males. Even Andy Dick opened his. Sean looked fine, but they need to get over this shirt-shedding. Did you hear the clip of Peta joking they'd take his pants off next? DWTS could become more a strip show than a dance contest.
I guess each of the celebs has a distinct fan base. I'd only heard of a few of them prior to the season starting. Aly, Sean and Kellie. Certainly not a "fan" of any of them.
There's an amount of Sean-hate on the ABC board. Actually, I think he's coming off as really sweet on the show, good-natured and as nice as he was on the Bach. But non-Bach watchers seem to regard him as an invading alien species.

Re: Sixth Week Elimination -- SPOILER real spoiler
I have seen some of the hate comments on the ABC DWTS's board and I just skim over them because they are just meant to be hurtful and Sean has done nothing to deserve that. There are also hate threads over there for other dancers as well so maybe that is what they like to do on that board - this is the first season that I have really looked at that board but I have heard that that is the way it is. There were also some nasty threads on the ABC Bachelor board during Sean's season and since that if the first Bachelor season I have been on it as well I have nothing to compare it too.
Sean tries hard but he just doesn't have it and I think he will be the next to get eliminated since he did score higher than Andy but Andy had a bigger fan base. IMO opinion ABC has been exploiting Sean's body building with the 'shirt off' all the time from when he was on Emily's seasons to DWTS and I am tired of it. However, DWTS is starting to turn into a male stripper show and to me that is not being a very good family show especially when they are having children in the audience. Re: Sixth Week Elimination -- SPOILER real spoiler
I read the DWTS board. What's perplexing is that Lisa, Andy and Victor can be bad dancers and come out unscathed. However, this appears to be hurting Sean's image. People are tearing him apart. I think it may be time for him to go home. It wasn't a good fit for him and I worry that next week will be equally cringe worthy.

Re: Sixth Week Elimination -- SPOILER real spoiler
The ABC boards are always full of horrible, nasty remarks, which is why so many of us don't go there anymore.
As for Sean, he has made a nice chunk of change on DWTS which should give him and Catherine a nice foundation. Latin dance is certainly not his thing and he will most likely go home in the next week or two. We can only give him an "A" for effort.
Hopefully this will be the end of the spotlight for these two and they can go off into the sunset, so to speak, and live happily ever after.

Newto I like your new avatar - where is that? I agree with you that Sean has made a nice chunk of money and I really hope he takes and Catherine and goes off to lead a nice quiet life. Other than the nice chunk of money, I don't think Hollywood has been that good for him - JMO.

Picture was taken in Longwood Gardens, PA by my son, who is an amateur photographer. He took 86 pictures in the gardens the day he and his family were there.
I think that while Sean can't dance, he will find a niche in TV somewhere.
JMHO.

You could be right because I got the feeling he had gotten bitten by the Hollywood bug awhile back. Maybe it will all work out for him and Catherine one way or the other.

I too have suspicions that Sean has aspirations of some sort of Hollywood career. If that happens, I think there is a good chance that the relationship will not make it. Interesting how the lives of the bach people change along the way.

Yes it makes one wonder if they all go on this show for that particular reason and if somehow they happen to meet someone they click with it is just an added benefit! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: Sixth Week Elimination -- SPOILER real spoiler
Yes, I think it is time for Sean to go. I think he has learned a lot about himself good and bad. I think he saw what he was becoming and and just what he could lose. Someone has talked to him and I have noticed he has kinda gone back to who he was. I do not think they will stay in LA. I have noticed his comments on Twitter have changed and not so much of him. More about faith and Catherine. I am glad he will will have a nice bank account for him to start his next part of his life. I hope he stays true to himself and sees L.A. does not deal with real life but with make believe and tearing one down. Having been stationed in Southern California the press is like sharks going in for the kill.

I hope you are right gin and they get the heck out of Hollywood! I haven't looked at his twitter lately because I didn't like what I was seeing so if he changed on it that is indeed a good sign.

Re: Sixth Week Elimination -- SPOILER real spoiler
Someone talked to him not sure who don't know if Catherine or dad or both maybe God but someone did and they rattled his cage. I have noticed Catherine has changed also in a very good way. Saying great things about him and spoiling him. Where as not so much about him just small texts but now glowing about him. I can say if it does not work out all the blame is going to be on him. She will come out looking great. I did she her mother was there for one of the shows.

Re: Sixth Week Elimination -- SPOILER real spoiler
The ABC boards do seem to attract a lot of miserable people who need to constantly bash others to make themselves feel better. Once in a while you can find a nice, positive, upbeat thread but invariably it gets taken over by the trolls and malcontents who can't stand to see people enjoying themselves with pleasant conversation. But I'll tell you honestly that it's nicer right now than it used to be. Singly can vouch for how thoroughly despicable it had gotten at one point.
Anyhoo, sorry to see Victor go. He was a cutie, and he seemed sweet, but he didn't dance that well, and poor Lindsay just isn't really memorable. She seems nice enough, but not a standout personality, and her choreography isn't real memorable. Would have preferred to see what Chelsie could have done with Victor. Or Lacey.
I don't watch The Bachelor, so I don't know anything about Sean. He's another one who seems nice enough but isn't terribly memorable for me. I don't think Bruno's comment about lumberjacks is entirely on point though. If you've ever seen a lumberjack contest and watched them rolling those logs with their feet, they're pretty darn limber and quick-footed and agile! lol And the only season I've really liked Peta was when she was paired with Donald Driver. He seemed to bring out the best in her. I'm not liking her that much with Sean, so that's not helping me to get invested in Sean's participation on the show.
I love Andy. I didn't think I would. I knew some of his history, and I remembered him fondly from News Radio. I expected to want to see him gone early, but he has grown on me so much. He's so sweet and earnest, and he's trying so hard while at the same time taking it all in stride and not getting too hung up on winning. He's just really enjoying himself, and he and Sharna have a wonderful partnership. She's turned out to be the only new pro that I really like and would like to see back another season, and her choreography has been really good. I see improvement in Andy week to week. He's probably never going to be a great dancer, but every week he makes me laugh, and he makes me want to root for him. Not a bad thing at all in a show like this. Latin is definitely not his forte, but he's been very charming in the ballroom stuff.

Re: Sixth Week Elimination -- SPOILER real spoiler
LadyMustang65 I don't know you from the ABC boards but I sure agree with you when it comes to the Lumberjacks. Not only rolling the logs but scaling the trees as well. I think with the football players the ones that did well on the show were running backs and wide receivers where as I think Sean was a lineman of some kind which did not require the agility of of a receiver or running back - it's just my opinion and I could be way off base. I do think Sean is a nice guy though who just isn't the greatest on the dance floor.
I also did not think I would like Andy but I have to admit that he can be entertaining even though he can't dance.

Re: Sixth Week Elimination -- SPOILER real spoiler
I haven't watched DWTS from the very beginning, but I have seen many seasons. I have to say this has probably been my least favorite. I miss some of the older "pros", and many of the "stars" I have never even heard of. I don't know if it's that, the choreography or what......I have just felt less interested this season. And God forbid, can we ever get through a season where the shirts stay on and put the emphasis on real dancing? Then again, maybe it's just me.
